Our Journey So Far
INDUSTRIAL VISIT
We are delighted to share that on 11th September 2025, the Department of Programming and the Department of Nano Biomaterials successfully organized an industrial visit to the Nokia Oragadam Campus as part of the academic curriculum. We express our sincere gratitude to the management for providing this wonderful opportunity and extend special thanks to our Director Madam, Principal Sir, Vice Principal Sir, and the Placement Team for their continuous support and encouragement. As part of our collaboration, our university has signed an MoU with Nokia to benefit the student community by enhancing knowledge and offering practical exposure. A total of 44 students and 2 faculty members had the privilege of participating in this visit, which provided valuable insights into cutting-edge technologies and industrial practices.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT
On behalf of the Department of Mechanical and Innovation, we are pleased to share that our department successfully conducted a one-day industrial visit on 12th September 2025 to Johnson Lift Private Limited, Sengadu, Sriperumbudur, Kancheepuram District, as part of the academic curriculum. We express our heartfelt gratitude to the management of Johnson Lift for providing the opportunity to explore their world-class lift manufacturing facility. A total of 40 students and 2 faculty members participated in the visit, gaining valuable exposure to advanced manufacturing processes, workplace safety protocols, and quality control practices. The visit enabled students to observe real-time applications of engineering concepts and understand the integration of technology with management practices. Furthermore, interactions with industry professionals offered valuable insights into current trends, challenges, and career opportunities in the engineering sector, making this visit highly beneficial for the academic and professional growth of our students.
ONE DAY SEMINAR
The Department of Placement at SIMATS Engineering successfully organized a one-day seminar on “Careers in Amazon, Interview Tips, and Demo on Solving Coding Problems” on 12th September 2025. The session provided students with valuable insights into career opportunities at Amazon, effective interview strategies, and practical approaches to coding challenges. We were honored to host Ms. R. Veda Nadgouda, Amazon University Talent Acquisition Recruiter; Mr. Karthick Shankar, Software Development Manager; and Mr. Anto Joshwa, Software Development Engineer, as resource persons. Ms. Nadgouda offered guidance on the recruitment process, essential skills, and employability strategies, while Mr. Shankar and Mr. Joshwa conducted an engaging coding demonstration that highlighted systematic problem-solving, logical reasoning, and writing efficient code. The seminar enhanced students’ technical competence and confidence in facing assessments and interviews.
ONE DAY SEMINAR
The Department of Electric Power Technology, SIMATS Engineering, successfully organized a One-Day Seminar on “Introduction to Emotional Intelligence: Understanding and Managing Emotions for Personal and Professional Growth” on 13th September 2025. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Resource Person, Mr. Simon Anandh Raj, CEO/Founder of Freewill Human Empowerment and Emotional Intelligence Coach, Chennai, for delivering an insightful and engaging session that highlighted the essential pillars required for entrepreneurial success. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 62 students and five faculty members, making it a memorable success. We sincerely thank all the participants and faculty members for their active involvement and valuable contributions.
Guest Lecture
The Department of Placement, SIMATS Engineering, organized a seminar on “From Engineer to Leader: Building Skills Beyond the Classroom” on 08 September 2025. Mr. Vishal Khedkar, Founder of Skill Enhancement Academy and Leadership Coach to Fortune 500 MNCs, delivered an inspiring session highlighting the importance of leadership, communication, adaptability, empathy, and interpersonal skills for engineers.
The event saw enthusiastic student participation through discussions and questions.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT
The Department of Electric Power Technology & Electrical Power and Energy Conversion organized an enriching Industrial Visit to SP Engineers Autotech India Pvt. Ltd., Tiruvallur, on 09th September 2025, with around 40 students and 2 faculty members participating.
The visit offered valuable exposure to modern manufacturing, assembly operations, quality testing, and automation systems. Interactions with industry professionals enhanced students’ understanding of real-world practices, bridging the gap between classroom learning and industrial applications.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT
The Department of Cyber Security organized an Industrial Visit to Why Global Services, Egmore, on 6th September 2025, with 76 students and 5 faculty members participating.
The visit gave students valuable exposure to security breaches, ethical hacking, and cyber security techniques, strengthening both technical knowledge and practical skills.
FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
A Faculty Workshop was held on 5th September 2025 at SIMATS, Kuthambakkam, with 23 faculty members actively participating in an interactive session by Prof. Maninder Singh.
The workshop offered valuable insights on effective mentoring and Capstone Project evaluation.
INDUSTRIAL VISIT
The Department of Bioengineering organized an Industrial Visit to AAVIN Dairy Production Plant, Madhavaram, on 1st September 2025, with 78 students and 4 faculty members participating. The visit offered first-hand exposure to large-scale dairy production, processing techniques, and quality assurance practices, bridging classroom learning with real-world applications.
We sincerely thank the SIMATS Management, Director Madam, Principal Sir, and Vice Principal Sir for their constant support in providing such valuable industry-oriented learning opportunities.
Guest Lecture
The Department of Cloud Computing, Institute of CSE-SSE, organized a Seminar on “Recent Trends in Cyber Crime” at our campus. Dr. S. Prabakaran, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crime Wing, Chennai, delivered an insightful talk followed by an engaging interactive session.
Around 81 students participated enthusiastically and gained valuable knowledge.
ONE DAY SEMINAR
The Department of Edge Computing, SIMATS Engineering, organized a one-day seminar on “Machine Learning – Industry Use Cases and Getting Started with Implementation in Python” on 4th September 2025.
The session was led by Mr. Shriram R, Senior AI/ML Engineer, Retech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, who shared valuable industry insights.

The Centre of Excellence (Robotics Laboratory), SIMATS Engineering, organized a one-day seminar on “Jobs for the Future in AI and Robotics” on 3rd September 2025. Dr. J.K. Deeppak Keynes, Team Manager, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Chennai, served as the chief guest and shared valuable insights with the participants.
Guest Lecture
The Department of Programming, SIMATS Engineering, organized a one-day awareness program on Startups titled “Stepping Stone for STARTUPS” on 1st September 2025.
The session was led by Mr. R.S.L. Balaji, Founder & Director, Trekcodes, Chennai, who shared valuable insights on startup journeys.
The event witnessed active participation from over 60 students and seven faculty members, making it a resounding success.
Guest Lecture
The Department of Placement, SIMATS Engineering, conducted a seminar on “Personal Grooming to Develop Personality” on 30th August 2025. The session was led by Mr. R. Soundar, Director of Finance Practice at Mindsprint (OLAM), who shared valuable insights on self-confidence, professional etiquette, and communication skills, drawing from his vast national and international experience.
The seminar saw enthusiastic student participation and proved highly motivational, guiding students on employability and professional growth.
The Cloud Computing Department, Institute of CSE-SSE, hosted the Intercollegiate Project Competition TECHNOVANZA 2025 on August 30, 2025.
Er. N. Venkatesa Prasad, Sr. President and Life Sciences Practice Leader, Chennai, delivered an impressive talk and led an interactive session.
Approximately 100 students participated enthusiastically and benefited from the event, making it a grand success.

The Department of Electrical Power and Energy Conversion at SIMATS Engineering successfully conducted a One Day Seminar on August 30, 2025, titled “Navigating Career Paths in Networking.” With the support of the management and the valuable insights shared by Mr. Sivaraju. U., IT Analyst at Tata Consultancy Services, the seminar guided 70 students on building a strong foundation in networking careers and emphasized the importance of continuous learning and mentorship.
The interactive session was made impactful by the enthusiastic participation of students and faculty members.
national level symposium
The Department of Cloud Computing successfully organized the national level Symposium "TechSpectra-2025" on August 28, 2025.
The event was a grand success, with Dr. L. Ramesh, President of the Institution of Green Engineers and Joint Registrar at Dr MGR Educational and Research Institute, Chennai, delivering an inspiring and detailed presentation on prototype development and industry requirements.
The symposium benefitted 270 students, equipping them with valuable knowledge and insights.
Guest Lecture
Awareness & Action Toward Anti-Ragging” – The Department of Cognitive Computing, SIMATS Engineering, organized a guest lecture on “Awareness and Action Toward Anti-Ragging” on 25th August 2025 at the Circular Building, Fifth Floor.
We were honored to have Thiru I. Govindharajan, Sub-Inspector of Police (Retd.), Kasimedu Police Station, Chennai, as the resource person. The session emphasized the importance of creating a safe and ragging-free campus, empowering students to pursue their academic journey with confidence and security. The lecture was well received by participants and reinforced our collective commitment to maintaining a respectful and supportive learning environment.
One-Day Seminar
The Department of Mathematical Studies organized a One-Day Seminar on “Planning Today for the Engineer You’ll Be Tomorrow” on 23rd August 2025 at the Rectangular Building.
The session was delivered by Ms. B. Sindhiya, Senior HR Executive, Hindujatech Limited, Chennai, who shared valuable strategies on planning and preparation for a successful engineering career.
The seminar witnessed the enthusiastic participation of our students and faculty members, making it an engaging and impactful experience.
Industrial Visit
The Department organized an enriching Industrial Visit to the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers’ Federation Limited (Aavin), Madhavaram, on 25th August 2025. The visit saw the enthusiastic participation of approximately 48 students accompanied by 5 faculty members.
Students gained valuable, hands-on insights into the Pasteurisation process, observing critical stages such as boiler operations, milk silos, cooling systems, and packaging lines. Interactions with plant engineers further enhanced their understanding of operational procedures, safety protocols, and environmental controls.
